See All ReviewsOverall, the experience here was pretty decent. The pork bugolgi and miso soup are great but I wasn’t crazy about some of the side dishes (which took forever for me to even figure out what they were going to be since they don’t have the side dishes listed on the menu and the staff seemed to not understand what I was talking about when I tried to inquire about what the side dishes would be). The service was alright, the staff seemed to be rushing everywhere but at least our waitress would check on us and refill our drinks. The only time we had problems with that was when we were trying to get the check (it took 15 minutes to actually be able to flag down a random server for our check and an additional 20 minutes for it to arrive). I also was confused as to why my friend and I were sat at a table that was out in the open instead one of the secluded rooms. When I asked, I was told it was “for people with reservations” but we were never asked if we had reservations and we saw other patrons being sat immediately at secluded areas so that felt a bit uncomfortable (especially since we were the only black people in there).
This Japanese restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The interior is elegant, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, creating a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. Everything there feels harmonious and well put together. The food is excellent — fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with great care. From the presentation to the taste, everything is simply perfect. The service is also attentive and friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. Overall, everything about this restaurant is wonderful. It’s a perfect place to enjoy great Japanese cuisine, celebrate a special occasion, or simply have a lovely evening. Highly recommended!
The food was decent and I liked the overall atmosphere. The look and feel of the place is great. What I wasn't keen on was the service, or lack there of. We barely saw our waiter and had to flag a random staff member down to get the check and to-go plates. They dropped everything off and were moving everywhere else around the restaurant until we flagged them down. They had just opened, so it wasn't crowded, it just seemed like they were still prepping to open. It wasn't the greatest dining experience, but I do plan to go back eventually.
